Earlier filing date for FAFSA

The Department of Education has made changes to the financial aid process regarding filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for the 2017-18 college year.

Students may now file for financial aid on October 1st – previously January 1st – by using the “prior, prior year” tax return to report personal and family income.

We, at College Planning Cape Cod, recommend that students file the FAFSA and other required financial aid forms sooner rather than later. Contact us if you and your student need assistance with those forms – 508.815.4935
